Are You Balancing Your Lifestyle?

The condition of your physical, mental and spiritual health is of optimum importance. If your body, mind and spirit is not fit, you will not be able to do the things you need and want to do. You may not feel up to certain tasks owing to a lack of physical energy, mental motivation or spiritual inclination. Living an unhealthy lifestyle takes a toll on every level – your capacity for thought declines, your quality of sleep erodes, your passion for life dissipates.

You need to treat yourself well and pay attention to your personal needs. This is not being selfish. It’s as if your body, mind and spirit is a bank. You have to make deposits every day by taking incredible care of yourself, or when you need them the most your bank will be empty and you'll have nothing to draw on.

Liberate Yourself From An Unhealthy Body – Balance Your Body, Mind And Spirit

To achieve a balance of body, mind and spirit, you must look at each individually and give each an equal amount of time and concentration. When your body needs more of your time you become sick or have aches and pains. Your mind let's you know you need to focus on it when you can't concentrate or become emotionally distraught. When your spirit is ignored you feel as if you're separated from the world and your Infinite Intelligence – you don't feel connected to anyone or anything and there is a possible sense of hopelessness. Your life will always let you know if the elements are out of balance.

Physical

To create a healthy body you first need to decide what you consider healthy. It's an individual or your preference. Maybe for you having well-defined muscles and a low fat percentage is healthy. Others may want to have incredible flexibility and eat a vegetarian diet. Still, others may have unhealthy habits, such as smoking or excess drinking they need to address. It all depends on what you deem as healthy for yourself.

There are two things that everyone needs to decide on:
Exercise and Nutrition.

We all need to exercise in some way every day. Our bodies need movement and action. If you love to take walks, then take a long walk in the morning with a friend or loved one, or go for a nice walk in the evenings with your dog/s. If the gym is more to your liking - join a local one and make it part of your routine to go there every day or at minimum 3 times per week. If you're new to exercise or your legs or arms don't function too well, start moving the parts that do work – grab a few light weights and do as much as you can.

No diet works the same for everyone. While some may thrive on a vegetarian diet, others may be drained of all energy. It all depends on your body. Get to know your body. If you eat a low carb diet for a week and feel great, then that's what you should implement as your nutrition plan. If you feel stressed, lousy and snap at everyone in your home and office, you'll have to work on getting a different diet. Ask me about an awesome anti-stress product that you'll REALLY benefit from. Personal experience is largely the prevalent way to discover how your body works best. Make sure you talk to your physician and ask what the right exercise and nutrition plan is for you.

Mind

Our minds need to be fed just like our bodies. Filling your head with junk won't inspire you or keep your mind in tip-top shape. The best way I know of doing this is by reading and listening to motivational audiotapes and CDs on a daily basis. Join us on our Mental Cleanse Program to revitalise your mind. Read one book a week. Choose different genres of books, written by people from all walks of life. Peruse bookstores and look for covers that catch your eye. Reading keeps your mind active and your energy flowing. Recommend books that inspire you to friends, family and co-workers.

The same applies to motivational audiotapes and CDs. . There are many wonderful CDs and audiotapes to listen to Pick a favorite speaker/mentor and listen to everything they’ve recorded – and not just once. Listen to them over and over until you really believe what they are saying. Once you’re finished choose another. Keep going until it is impossible for you to have a negative thought, or you’re able to replace them immediately with a positive one.

Spirit

We are all spiritual beings – beings with souls. When we stay in touch with our spirituality we become energized and one with the Universe. We feel connected, that we are not alone. We feel whole.

There are many ways to focus on our spirituality. Most of them involve getting quiet. Easy things like walking through a field of flowers or on the beach, watching the stars at night, playing with our pets, meditating for a few minutes every morning, and praying. We each have our preferences when it comes to creating a realm of peace to get in touch with our spirituality. Experiment with these until you find your own.

When you act right and treat yourself and others right, your right results are guaranteed!

ACTION STEPS:

Here's an exercise to complete in the week ahead:

Do you have a balanced body, mind, spirit connection? Do you even know if you do? If not, I’m going to show you a way to find out. Ask yourself these questions and write down the answers in a journal or notebook:

Body
1. Am I unhappy with my physical appearance?
2. Is there something about my body that creates stress in my life?
3. Do I have an energy drop after my morning caffeine buzz?
4. Am I eating too much or too little?
5. Do I eat too quickly and at different times of the day?
6. Am I drinking more sodas and coffee than water?

Mind
1. Do I wake up throughout the night unable to sleep?
2. Do I have self-defeating thoughts throughout the day?
3. Am I stressed out?
4. Do I over react to small situations?
5. Do I try to do everything for myself – don’t delegate tasks?
6. Are my emotions in control of me?

Spirit
1. Do I feel detached from people?
2. Do I feel hopeless about my life?
3. Do I think I am alone?
4. Do I have a sense of despair in my heart?
5. Is there a sense of emptiness in my life?
6. Do I feel overwhelmed?

Now, look at your answers. The more "yes" answers you have will tell you which areas of your life are out of balance, which you want to concentrate and work on in order to achieve full circle of Balancing Your Life.
